Analysis: It's a very ill-timed injury with the Saints about to take on the undefeated Rams and with Davenport's recent emergence as a dangerous pass rusher. The rookie first-round pick recorded two sacks against Minnesota, giving him four in his last five games.

Analysis: New Orleans paid a very high price, sending next year's first-round pick to the Packers in an attempt to fill probably its most pressing need in a pass-rusher. Davenport played at the lower FBS level at Texas-San Antonio and is considered extremely raw, but ran an impressive 4.58-second 40-yard dash at the combine and possesses tantalizing upside as a bookend to Cameron Jordan.
