Analysis: "Tomorrow I'll have surgery ending year 12," Marshall posted on his Instagram account. "I'm filled with mixed emotions. I wasn't able to produce for my team the way I wanted to but this was my greatest year to date. This game has shown me who I really am good and bad. This game has given me the opportunity to grow as a man, father, husband, teammate, leader. ... I'm so thankful for this game." Marshall, 33, had 18 catches for 154 yards and no touchdowns this year.

Analysis: This is a big blow to the Giants, who appear to also have lost Sterling Shepard to a foot injury on the same drive.
|Oct. 1, 2017 5:12 PM PT6:12 PM MT7:12 PM CT8:12 PM ET0:12 GMT8:12 5:12 PM MST7:12 PM EST7:12 PM CT4:12 UAE (+1)20:12 ETNaN: - Brandon Marshall had six receptions for 46 yards Sunday in the New York Giants' 25-23 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Analysis: Marshall saw double-digit targets for a second straight week and has 14 receptions during that span, though he's averaged only eight yards per catch and still hasn't found the end zone. That high volume puts the 33-year-old back in the mix as a WR3/flex in PPR leagues, though his days as a real fantasy difference-maker seem to have passed.

Analysis: A move to the other locker room in MetLife Stadium doesn't appear to have revived Marshall's declining career, as the 33-year-old has managed a mere two catches totaling 27 yards in his first two games as a Giant. Though owners may be best served to wait this out based on his track record, he shouldn't be in a starting lineup under any circumstances right now.

Analysis: The Giants were counting on Marshall to step up with Odell Beckham inactive, but the veteran was targeted just four times and his lone catch came in the final seconds. Though one game does not a season make, the early prognosis is that the 33-year-old's days as a major fantasy contributor seem to be in the rear view mirror.

The six-time Pro Bowler revealed his plans at Saturday's Health & Fitness Expo at MetLife Stadium. "I just decided that last week. Two more years, get my Super Bowl, have a little bit more fun, and then I'm going to go change the world in the mental health space," the 33-year-old Marshall told Newsday.
Analysis: Marshall's plan to bring awareness to mental health is one that hits close to home. He was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in 2011. Marshall, who signed a two-year, $12 million deal with the Giants after being released from the Jets, has eight 1,000-yard seasons since being drafted in 2006. He has career totals of 941 receptions, 12,061 receiving yards and 82 touchdown catches in his 11 seasons.
