MADRID (AP) Real Madrid says Spain coach Julen Lopetegui will be the team's manager after the World Cup.

Madrid made the announcement on Tuesday, two days before Spain's opening match against Portugal in Russia.

The club says Lopetegui will be handed a three-year contract.

He is replacing Zinedine Zidane, who quit after leading Madrid to three straight Champions League titles.
