Analysis: Price has pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings in two appearances since coming off the DL and moving to the bullpen.

Price struck out two, ending the game with a 3.71 ERA and 1.24 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Price was quite sharp in his first outing since being sidelined nearly two months with a sore elbow. Though the former Tampa ace likely won't be tabbed to start over the remainder of the season, he could wind up as a valuable piece out of the bullpen should the Red Sox reach the playoffs.
|July 28 8:23 AM PT9:23 AM MT10:23 AM CT11:23 AM ET11:23 ET15:23 GMT23:23 8:23 AM MST10:23 AM EST10:53 AM VEN19:23 UAE10:23 AM CT-The Boston Red Sox activated Price from the 10-day disabled list and declared the left-hander will be used out of the bullpen for the rest of the season, the team announced Thursday.
Analysis: Price has been sidelined since July 28 with left elbow inflammation. The 2012 American League Cy Young Award winner began the season on the disabled list with a left elbow strain before returning on May 29. He posted a 5-3 mark with a 3.82 ERA in 11 starts before making another trek to the disabled list.
|July 23 10:47 AM PT11:47 AM MT12:47 PM CT1:47 PM ET13:47 ET17:47 GMT1:47 10:47 AM MST12:47 PM EST1:17 PM VEN21:47 UAE12:47 PM CT-David Price fell to 5-3, allowing six runs - five earned - on seven hits and three walks in 5.0 innings, as the Boston Red Sox lost to the Los Angeles Angels 7-3 on Saturday. Price struck out five, ending the game with a 3.82 ERA and 1.27 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Price came in 2-0 with a spectacular 0.90 ERA through his first three starts of July, but couldn't sustain that level of excellence while being dealt a second loss to the Angels this season. The well-paid lefty will try to bounce back in Friday's meeting with the visiting Royals, and he sports a solid 2.67 ERA at home in 2017.
|July 17 9:44 AM PT10:44 AM MT11:44 AM CT12:44 PM ET12:44 ET16:44 GMT0:44 9:44 AM MST11:44 AM EST12:14 PM VEN20:44 UAE11:44 AM CT-David Price improved to 5-2, allowing seven hits over a season-high 8.0 scoreless innings, as the Boston Red Sox defeated the New York Yankees 3-0 on Sunday. Price struck out eight, ending the game with a 3.39 ERA and 1.21 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The standout lefty proved once again that the elbow issues that sidelined him for the season's first two months are no longer a major issue. Price heads into Saturday's visit to Anaheim 3-0 with a 1.67 ERA in his last four starts, and he hasn't allowed a home run while amassing 29 strikeouts over that strong stretch.

Analysis: This was Price's best performance yet this season after a thoroughly mediocre June.

Price struck out seven, ending the game with a 4.61 ERA and 1.27 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: The accomplished lefty matched a season high in strikeouts and threw 112 pitches, his most since returning from an elbow injury in late May. Though Price has hardly been dominant - he's allowed at least three runs in five straight starts and owns a 5.28 ERA during that stretch - he's at least showing signs of regaining his prior form.

Analysis: In five games since coming off the DL on May 29, Price has issued 14 walks in 28 innings for 4.5 walks per nine innings. From 2013-16, he had a ratio of 1.65 walks per 9 - fifth best in the majors. Asked to evaluate how he's pitching this season: ''It's just been terrible,'' Price said. ''It's been bad. It's not me. I can throw the baseball better. That's the bottom line.'' He'll make his next start Saturday against the Angels.

Analysis: Another nightmare visit to Yankee Stadium for Price, who's now 0-4 with an 8.72 ERA in four starts at the venue since signing his mega-deal with the Red Sox prior to last season. The embattled lefty will look to bounce back in what should be a softer spot Tuesday at home against the Phillies.
