Analysis: Cahill has been pretty impressive striking people out. That's 37 in 30 innings of work this season.

The right-hander walked three, however, and was charged with four runs to take the loss.
Analysis: Cahill, who missed one start with a lower back strain, has opened the season with an impressive 15 strikeouts through 11 1/3 innings. He's still a rather mediocre pitcher, though, who'll likely provide inconsistent fantasy value over a full year.

Analysis: The well-traveled right-hander should be able to maintain a spot in a talent-deficient San Diego rotation, though prospective buyers should keep their expectations modest. Cahill won't be a recommended option when he makes his next start Monday at Colorado.
